Counselling
I’ve have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families over many years. I’d love to walk alongside you too!
It’s not easy to open up to a stranger, but hopefully you’ll quickly feel at ease and safe. Each step of your journey will be within your control, and we’ll step forward at your pace. After all, it takes time to build up mental fitness for the path you’re on. Let me help equip you for whatever life throws your way.

Frequently asked questions…
-
At it’s heart, counselling is a collaborative relationship with someone who is willing to walk with you through the ups and downs of life, providing support, self-understanding and encouragement. We will work with you to set goals, provide you with resources and skills to help you meet those goals, and help you figure out what went wrong when you get off track.
-
Counselling is a very personal experience, so it’s very important that you feel comfortable with your counsellor. Initially we will work together to build rapport and trust, inviting any questions you might have about the process, and ensuring you are comfortable. If you don’t feel like we are a good fit, we will provide you with some other potential referrals.
-
We only offer online sessions at this time, via zoom. We find this can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions, allowing you to save time on travel, tune in from the comfort of your own home, car, or even outdoors. We also offer phone counselling where this is helpful.
-
Yes, what you share with your counsellor is confidential. We will discuss this in the first session, and you will have opportunity to ask questions.
There are only some legal exceptions to this, including
mandatory reporting
risk of harm to yourself or other
subpoenas
-
As counsellors we cannot offer medicare rebates, however, we do try to keep our fees manageable, and they will often be lower than a gap fee with a psychologist.
-
We will accept cancellations up to 24 hours prior to a session, otherwise you will be charged for the session. This values our time, and allows us to give others access to a spot if needed.
If there are extenuating circumstances, please discuss this with us.

The easiest way is via direct deposit. Upon request I can also supply you with an invoice and/or receipt.
